Frequently Asked Questions
Standard individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes. Couples therapy sessions are typically 60–80 minutes. Initial intake sessions may run slightly longer to allow time for a thorough assessment.
We are an out-of-network provider. We can provide a superbill (detailed receipt) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, depending on your out-of-network benefits. We recommend contacting your insurer to understand your coverage before your first session.
Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and establish a therapeutic relationship. As you progress, sessions may shift to bi-weekly or monthly. The frequency is always tailored to your needs and goals.
Yes. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. Everything you share is kept strictly private. There are a small number of legal exceptions — such as imminent risk of harm to yourself or others — which will be explained fully during your first session.
Yes. We offer secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions for clients throughout Oregon. Online therapy is just as effective as in-person for most concerns and offers greater flexibility for busy schedules.
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged the full session fee. We understand that life happens — please reach out as soon as possible if you need to make a change.
